Reece Quote Magnet

stamped-items-002

Here is another “make and take” from The Angel Company.  It is a most simple project.  It is basically made with cardstock scraps.   The base is made using the Reece 12×12 Cardstock Collection and the Reece Cardstock.  The green base measures 3-3/8 x 4 inches and is edged with Sea Breeze Versamagic Ink.  The icy blue layer measures 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 inches.  The Reece patterned piece measures 3-7/8 x 2 inches.  (Layer and adhere according to picture.)  I stamped the image from Victorian Elements on a manila shipping tag (measuring 3-1/8 x 2-3/8 inches) using Sea Breeze Versamagic Ink.  Then I stamped the the quote from Be Happiness using Noir Palette Ink directly on top of the stamped ornamental image.  I threaded wire through the button holes and the flower and attached it to the tag using glue dots.  The tag was then adhered to the base layers.  Finally, a self-adhesive magnet strip was added to the back.

Returning from My Escape

serendipity_cover016

Escape was wonderful!  The new “magalogue”, Serendipity, was revealed.  It is beautiful.  It goes live on February 2nd!!  It is called a “magalogue” because it is part magazine and part catalogue.  It is chock-full of awesome new stamps and inspiring ideas.  I can’t wait to get it into your hands.

As I said, Escape was wonderful.  The Texas weather was lovely.  It was hard coming back to the snow and cold winds here in Indy.  I had so much fun and loved seeing everyone.  Several of my friends have asked me how my trip was and all I can say is, “The Angel Company ROCKS!!!”  They had such awesome projects.  Below is a card we made by stamping on muslin and coloring it in with colored pencils.  The image is from one of the new stamps sets in Serendipity called Fleur Birdies.

I will display more “make and takes” over the next week or so.  I got tons of new ideas and some new twists on the old ones.  We got so many gifts, stamp sets, cardstock collections and door prizes to take home.  Just when I think The Angel Company can’t get any more generous, they go and prove me wrong.  Two Angels won all forty-seven sets from the new magalogue.  It was unbelievable!

Here I am at the “make and take” tables stamping my little heart out.

And here is The Angel Company’s founder and CEO, Mischelle Smith, and her right-hand woman, Debbie, sporting their sassy pink scarves.  They gave us all similar scarves to sport.

Mischelle and Debbie both have there own blogs.  You can visit Michelle’s blog to get the full scoop from Escape.  Plus, she always show cases amazing TAC projects.  Debbie’sblog is full of inspirational quotes andheart-felt thoughts.  I highly recommend both of them.

Pregnancy Congrats Greeting Card

stamped-items-004

I am feverishly getting ready for The Angel Company’s Escape.  I leave for San Antonio in 2 days.  Besides my normal daily responsibilities of family and work, I have been packing and making cards to trade at the event.  This is congrats card is my trade.  It is made with the Lilly Anna cardstock line.  I love this “paper doll” technique… cutting patterned cardstock to make the clothing.  Her shirt is cut from Lilly Anna patterned cardstock and the rest of her outfit is colored with pencils.  I used Crystal Stickles to add sparkle to the flowers on her hat and purse.

The Angel Company Escape

Menger Hotel - San Antonio, TX

I am so excited!!  The Angel Company’s annual leadership seminar, Escape, is next week and I’m going again!!!  It is being held at the historic Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX.  It is a beautiful hotel built in 1859.  It is adjacent to the Alamo, the Riverwalk and the River Center Mall.  The Riverwalk is full of wonderful restaurants so everything is within walking distance.  I cannot wait to go and get out of this cold Indiana weather.  The temperatures in San Antonio are for-casted to be in the upper 70’s.  YA HOO!!!

All active Angels are eligible to go.  There is special recognition dinner and gifts for the Angels in Club MED (Angels that have achieved Manager, Executive, and Director levels).  That is one of the great things about The Angel Company… no one is left out.  Escape is a fabulous opportunity to learn directly from Mischelle Smith (founder and CEO) and all the other top selling and recruiting Angels.  It is always so interesting and inspiring to hear all the Angel stories and to learn from others experiences.  But that’s what The Angel Company is all about… sharing and blessing others through rubber stamping and scrapbooking.

Winter Blues Greeting Card

Winter Blues Greeting Card

Winter Blues Greeting Card

Winter blues is right!!  Christmas is over and in my mind spring should be here already.  To take my mind off the fact that we still have about three months of winter left I sat down to make these cards.  I’m going to use them as “thank you’s” for all the Christmas goodies we’ve received.  The snow flake on the front is a clear acetate glittered die cut.  I attached it with a white brad.  They took no time at all to make.
