I just had to make another “treat bag” using the Little Debbie Snack Cakes. This one is the soft gingerbread man cookie. I just added another cardstock topper to give it a more personal touch. The gingerbread man was stamped with a retired Stampin’ Up! set. The designer paper is Jolly and Bright from Heidi Grace Design. The sentiment is from the set Naughty or Nice by A Muse Studio Stamps. I thought it turned out very cute.
This holiday season has been so crazy, busy. Between family illness, work, church activities, school, kids’ schedules… it has been rather hectic. I have hardly had time to create. Even with all this madness I still wanted to take time to make my holiday treats. I need co-worker treats, school party treats, youth group treats, etc, etc. It is a long list, but I love doing it. The other day when I was at the grocery I saw these new santa snack cake brownies from Little Debbie. They are so adorable. And, it is so easy just to add a cardstock topper to make them personal. I used the santa hat and sentiment from the set Naughty or Nice from A Muse Rubber Stamps. It is one of my favorite sets.
I was trying to get some ideas for treats for my daughter’s Fall Class Party. I wanted to use my new stamp set Creepy Hollow from A Muse Studio and I came across this from the A Muse Studio artists and just had to share it with you. It is a simple, small project and fun to do. I also thought that it would be great to attach my business card to the back. I could give out this little treat as my business card during this Halloween season.
I have gotten several new Halloween sets that I hope to share with you in the next coming weeks. Most of them have been from the new holiday catalog.
If you haven’t gotten yours yet just let me know. They are FREE (unless I have to mail it to you, then it is $3 for shipping only). Call or email me ASAP!
I had to share this creepy journal that I made using a half composition notebook. I loved this victorian funeral themed paper. It is from the Midnight Dreary line from Got Moxie. I’ve discussed how to make these so often that I am not going to repeat myself. 🙂 You can always visit my previous post for detailed directions. And, if you want one for yourself but don’t want to make it yourself, you can alwasy visit my Etsy shop and purchase this one.
I have decided that I will feature Halloween projects and finds from now till Halloween. This is a journal I made using a large composition notebook and covering it with vampire cardstock from Martha Stewart. I love Martha Stewart’s Halloween style and I look forward to buying her new stuff every fall. I wish I could be on her show making these journals using her cardstock! 🙂 If anybody out there knows her and loves my stuff, give her a call and set me up!! 🙂
On to how I made the journal… As I was saying, I used a large composition notebook and covered it in cardstock. I used Zip Dry Paper Glue to adhere the cardstock. It is fast drying and doesn’t wrinkle your paper. I then stamped the word forever and tied a black ribbon onto the front cover near the spine. The inside covers are also covered in black cardstock. And lastly, I used walnut ink to stain all three edges of both covers to give it a finished, polished look. It is a simple project, but it does take time and steps to complete. If you don’t have the time but would still like the journal you can purchase this one from my Etsy shop. This last photo is the back of the journal…
Fall has officially arrived! One of my favorite times of the year. 🙂 I always get so energized this time of year. I always have a long list of things to create, projects to get completed around the house and recipes to bake. I guess it is the old instinct to forage, harvest and store before winter sets in.
Halloween is just around the corner. I just LOVE Halloween! This is traditionally the weekend that I decorate for Halloween. I can’t wait to get out all those pumpkin and witch decorations. In preparation for my decorating frenzy this weekend I am posting a card that was made by the artists at A Muse Studio. I love this stamp set Toil and Trouble. It is cute and no too creepy. My Halloween style. 🙂 This set and many more are in the new Holiday Catalog from A Muse Studio. If you don’t have your copy yet just let me know – it’s FREE (only $3 for shipping if I have to mail it to you).
This awesome card was made by the artists at A Muse Studio. The orange card front was stamped with the back ground stamp ScreenPrint in Nutmeg Ink. Then the edges were dragged in the Nutmeg Ink. Then Onyx Chevron Ribbon was wrapped near the bottom edge. The word “spooky” from the Candy Corn Kisses stamp set was embossed in white above the ribbon. It is finished off by adding the largest die cut bat from Big Bats Trio Die Set to the card using 3D Foam Adhesives. All these items are in the new Holiday Catalog from A Muse Studio. If you don’t have your copy yet just let me know – it’s FREE (only $3 for shipping if I have to mail it to you).
