I will be off-line for the next week on vacation with my daughter, best friend and her daughter. We will be taking a once in a life time vacation on the American Girl 25th Birthday Celebration Cruise. It is the only time anything like this has been offered. Our daughters are in love with American Girl and so are we mothers. When this opprotunity came up we just had to do it. So we are leaving dads and brothers home during this Thanksgiving holiday and setting sail on the Celebrity Eclipse for the caribbean. We have 3 ports of call next week… Puerto Rico, St. Maarten and St. Kitts. But don’t worry, I have a post planned to spark your creativity and when I return I will post pictures of our adventures.

I entered this invitation in a design challenge for Hope Stamps Eternal. Great blog! You should check them out. They have tons of cute stuff. This card was easy to make. I layered the patterned paper over the card base and stamped 3 cupcakes on the white panel. I stamped one additional cupcake, cut it out and adhered it in the middle using pop dots to give the card added dimension. I colored them all with colored pencils and added crystal Stickles for a little sparkle. I stamped “You’re invited”, but you can stamp any sentiment you choose under the cupcakes.
I just had to make another birthday card using The Angel Company stamp set Little Cupcake. I used the stamps “cake” and word “Sweet”. The patterned cardstock featured is from the Tutti Frutti Cardstock Collection. I stamped the cake and colored it in with colored pencils, then trimmed it out. I used the Stardust Gelly Pen to highlight the cake plate and the centers of the flowers. Then I applied Crystal Lacqeur to the flowers to add texture. I adhered the cake to the punched circles using Pop Dots. As you know, I like my cards simple and sweet and I think this one is just that!

I made these cute invitations for my son’s up coming birthday party. He is having a pizza party at a local pizza chain. I didn’t want to make traditional birthday invitations with balloons or present rubber stamps. I wanted you to know it was a pizza party as soon as you opened the envelope. So, I found pizza stickers at my local craft store and adhered them to white cardstock. I distressed and inked the edges of the white cardstock before I mounted them on brown cardstock. Then I adhered it to the carmel colored cardstock. I used The Angel Company stamp set “You’re Invited” and “wha-la!”… simple, quick, and cute invitations!
